"Weather B Damned" Tour!
SPECIAL NOTE: If this is your first time to register for an event at MotorsportRegistration.com, thank you for coming here to register. In the past IRPCA has not asked for members and guests to register for tours. It was just show up and go. Due to changes in our health and safety landscape we are now asking for your cooperation to help us plan our tours by making your registration online. It helps us as organizers, and we appreciate your cooperation.
Join us Saturday, March 20 for our first tour of 2021! We've all been cooped up, and it should be a lot of fun to get out and drive! As is our tradition our first tour of the year will stay out of the mountains.
WHERE: We’ll be meeting at our sponsor’s location; Porsche Lehi, 3425 N, Digital Dr, Lehi, UT 84043. On arrival please turn right at the first entrance and swing around the Audi showroom in order to queue up end to end, facing south along the front of the Porsche dealership. The tour is very similar to one from two years back when we followed the Pony Express route out to Rush Valley, stopping at Pony Express Monuments and concluding our run at Utah Motorsports Campus. The drive will be about 100 miles, and about 3 hours from Lehi to the conclusion at UMC at 12:00 NOON.
BONUS ACTIVITY: AFTER the official conclusion of our tour at the main gate of Utah Motorsports Campus in Grantsville, the management of UMC has offered us the opportunity to "see the track" from the inside. A pace car will meet us at 12:15 and will then lead our group at relaxed speeds through two laps of the East Track configuration. Those interested in participating will be asked to line our cars up at noon as a group, and to enter the property by signing another set of online waivers, this time for the track. Signing the waiver will require an internet connected phone to open an application similar to the one used for PCA. The track will do a forehead temperature check at the same time. Masks will be a requirement if you are outside of your car while inside the track property. At the conclusion of the parade laps on the track, you are welcome to stay within the UMC property to observe other activities that will be happening throughout the day. If you are not interested in the track tour, simply wave good-bye as we come to a stop at the main gate of Utah Motorsports Campus.
WHEN: Assemble at 9:00 am. Hit the road following a driver's meeting and signing in, at 9:30 am.
SAFETY: On arrival please park your cars with at least one space in between each car. At all times that you are out of your car, please maintain a minimum of 6 feet between yourself and others that you don't live with. Masks are highly recommended, or if local or state should mandate, required.
COMFORT: Bring an empty bladder and a full tank :-).
FORMS: The liability and communicable disease waivers that you normally sign as you arrive for the tour, are now fully electronic and are part of finishing up this registration process. After you complete this registration by clicking on "proceed to checkout ", the forms will be texted to your phone for completion. Signed waivers will end up on your own mobile phone(s) as a text. We will ask you to display your signed waivers from your phone, to the tour leader as you arrive for the tour. It feels like a mystery the first time you do it. Once you are done, you'll say, WOW that was simple! We are making every effort to go electronic with forms. HOWEVER, if you do not have a mobile phone we do have a way for you to bring paper waivers as an alternative. If that is your situation, FIRST please print ONE color (yes, color if at all possible) copy of the waiver and have each person in your car sign that ONE copy per the instructions.
