At this registration site, we will ask you- 1. if you are traveling to Parade in Spokane during the July 7th through 8th or 9th, 2. If you will be staying at either of the recommended hotels along the route, and finally 3, if you will be joining the zone 9 member social at Porsche Salt Lake City on July 7th.
Porsche Salt Lake has graciously agreed to supply their facility as the host location for a social gathering of zone-wide Parade attendees on Friday night, July 7th from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm. The dinner fee is $17.50 per person and includes a Mexican food buffet and tickets for two "adult" beverages (beer, wine) .For those spending the night in Salt Lake City we suggest that you spend Friday night at Little America Hotel in downtown Salt Lake City (host hotel from the 2012 Parade) as it is just a few blocks from the social at Porsche Salt Lake City and allows a common kick off point for Saturday morning for those who wish to depart together. Little America suggests using an online booking site (like Travelocity, Trivago or Expedia) to find the best rates. They indicate that on July 7th, there should be plenty of space available.

Just to be VERY CLEAR, the driving part of your travel to Spokane is NOT A PCA EVENT and NOT A TOUR. There will be no PCA organization of your travel plans while on the road. It is intended simply as a means to meet other PCA members from the Zone on Friday night, and to arrange times and places to depart on Saturday morning should you choose to coordinate.
For the drive from Salt Lake City to Spokane, there are really two logical choices for you to consider. The first approach is to use Interstate highways all the way. The drive according to route calculations is just about 10 hours (721 miles). If this is for you, make sure you schedule your hotel reservations at Parade in Spokane, to begin on Saturday July 8th. The other choice is to take Interstate highways for about 2/3 or the trip (7 hours - 448 miles) and then some more scenic non-interstates for the last 1/3 on Sunday morning (about 250 miles) . The drive time is only slightly longer and the distance actually slightly less. Depending on your departure time, this approach allows you to arrive at check-in in Spokane at noon or in the early afternoon on Sunday July 9th.
